Ar William Lau T Y, principal of William Lau Architects is a strong advocator of leveraging IT in the practice and started using parametric 3D modelling software way back in 2001.
He is a council member of Singapore Institute of Architects chairing the Technical and Resource Committee as well as the immediate past president of Building Smart - Singapore Chapter - His other appointments include; Chairman for Building Construction IT Standards Committee, whose main task is to establish IT standards applicable to the industry.(BCITC).
William is an active member of BIM related committees such as BIM Steering Committee and local panel of BIM experts under BCA.
As a BIM consultant collaborating with X-cube Solutions Pte Ltd, he actively promotes and advised many enterprises both local and overseas to adopt and implement BIM to improve efficiency and productivity. Among some of the keys BIM projects are; Singapore Airport Terminal 4(T4); Media Corp HQ Building; Disneyland( Shanghai)
He is also an active speaker for Construction IT and BIM related conferences held in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Korea and Canada.

Yacine Rezgui is a BRE (Building Research Establishment) Chair in 'Building Systems and Informatics'. He is a qualified architect with an MSc (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies) in “Building Sciences” (obtained from Université Jussieu - Paris 6) and a PhD in Computer Science applied to the construction industry, obtained from ENPC (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées). After 4 years of industrial experience in architectural engineering, he joined Derbi Informatique, the IT subsidiary of OTH (Omnium Technique Holding), a French engineering company specialised in all aspects of design and construction engineering. He took part to several of their developments, including their web-based project management system SGTi (www.sgti.fr). He has then worked as a researcher for CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment) and was involved in a number of national and EU research projects in the field of document engineering (DOCCIME), product modelling and Computer Integrated Construction (ATLAS). In 1995, he joined Salford University in the UK as a Research Fellow, then Academic: Lecturer (1996), Senior Lecturer (1998), Professor (2001). He was the founding Director (2003 – 2007) of the 5* (RAE 2001) rated Informatics Research Institute at Salford University (www.iris.salford.ac.uk). He has over the last 10 years completed in the capacity of principal investigator and co-investigator: (a) Several national research projects, including CoBrITe (GR/M34249), C-Sand (GR/R21332/01), ADS (GR/M42381/01), EPSRC-IMRC-SCRI Phase 1 (GR/R64575/01) and EPSRC-SCRI-IMRC Phase 2 (EP/E001882/1), IMRP (EP/G026262/1), CloudBIM (EP/I034270/1); and, (b) Several European research projects, including Condor, OSMOS (IST-1999-10491), e-Cognos (IST-2000-28671), SciX (IST-2001-3312), ICCI (IST- 2001-32031), ROADCON (IST-2001-37278), VOSTER (IST-2001-32031), VE-Forum (IST-1-507469-SSA), and FUNSIEC (eContent 42059Y3C3FPAL2), SPORTE2 (FP7/2007-2013), KnoholEM (FP7/2007-2013).

Shen-Guan Shih has been teaching and doing research in the department of architecture, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology since the completion of doctoral degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in 1994. He is leading the Group of Architectural Synergy with a broad range of research interests, including building information modeling, smart house, kinetic architecture, cooperative learning, pedestrian behavior simulation, and generative modeling.

Recent Advances on IT Applications for BIM Tools Development at NTUST
Dr. Souheil Soubra is Deputy Director of the IT department at CSTB, France. Main fields of interest include Building Information Modelling, Geographical Information management, Virtual and Augmented Reality and Simulation Environments. He is currently managing CSTB’s strategic project entitled “Simulation and numerical tools” in the frame of which an innovative immersive space dedicated to Virtual Environments for the construction sector has been put in place. He participated or managed several EC funded projects. He has been recently appointed Scientific Advisor and head of EU and International affairs of “Digital Transition Plan” launched by the French government. Souheil Soubra is a member of various expert committees in “Construction IT” and has co-authored several publications and books in this field.

Realizing BIM Integrated Design with Parametrics基於參數化設計的BIM實踐
Ms Argoon Chuang is the Built Environment Modelling (BEM) Manager of Arup’s East Asia region. She drives the implementation and takes charge of resources coordination of all sorts of digital design related activities, from business front to technical skills development and project coordination.
She has worked as BIM Coordinator for a number of large-scale infrastructure and building projects, setting out the information management strategy and lead the collaboration process among the multidisciplinary teams. She is also leading the formulation of enterprise level BIM and BEM strategy for Arup’s East Asia region.
Argoon received her BSc in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University and MSc in Sustainable Infrastructure from Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. She has recently been named Young BIMer of the Year at the 2014 BIM Excellence Awards in Hong Kong.
